PC Network Setup/Configuration (Using ProComm)

The following Instructions apply to Windows 95/98 Systems.
- Be Sure PC Network Interface Card (NIC) is configured for TCP/IP:
- My Computer>Control Panel>Network:
- Need to have TCP/IP Listed for NIC and Dialup
- if not, do the following (you will probably need NIC Driver and/or Win95/98 CD/Diskettes):
- Add>Protocol>Microsoft>TCP/IP (OK, to save)
- TCP/IP should now be listed (2x)
- Select (highlight): TCP/IP>>(NIC)
- Properties>IP Address:
- Default BTI IP Address would be as follows:
- 192.2.2.# (# = 3 to 99, assign each PC a distinct number)
- Example (first PC Loaded):
- IP Address: 192.2.2.3
- Subnet Address: 255.255.255.0
- (OK, to save)
- Load/Configure Procomm Software:
- CD should AutoLoad
- Configure Procomm as follows:
- Start>Programs>Procomm Plus
- Select Connection Directory (Open Book Icon, at top of screen)
- Select Telenet Tab
- Select New Entry (Open Book with Star Icon, Upper left corner)
- Complete Fields as Follows:
- Name: The Photo Solution
- Host/IP Address: 192.2.2.2 (BTI Server IP Address)
- Telnet Options: Normal telnet (default)
- Company: (Your Company Name)
- Terminal: Wyse 60
- Protocal: Zmodem (default)
- (OK, to save), Connection Directory Window should reflect above settings.
- (Connect, to test), Should display "Login:"
