How do I setup a Wyse-60 Terminal

Wyse-60 Terminal

  1. Cabling:
    1. Plug Keyboard modular plug into Left-hand side of Terminal Monitor (towards front)
    2. Plug Data Cable (DB25/Modular Adapter, from Computer) into Back of Terminal Monitor Labeled "Modem"
    3. (Optional) Plug Slave Printer cable into Back of Terminal Monitor Labeled "Auxiliary"
    4. Plug Power cable into back of Terminal Monitor (Black cable, black 3 pronged socket)
    5. (plug power cable into wall outlet, if possible supply surge protector).
  2. Configuration:
    1. Hold (Shift) key and hit (Setup) key (upper right-hand corned of Terminal Keyboard)
      1. (New Screen should appear)
      2. Note: For all Screens:
        1. Use Arrow keys to move from Field to Field, Highlighted
        2. use SPACE BAR to change Setting for that Field
    2. Hit (F2) key to change to GENERAL Screen.
      1. PERSONALITY = WY 60 (if not, change to WY 60)
    3. Hit (F3) key to change to KEYBOARD Screen.
      1. KEY CLICK = ON (this will beep with each key stroke, change to OFF if too annoying)
    4. Hit (F4) key to change to COMMUNICATIONS Screen.
      1. (Be sure the following settings are correct, change where necessary)
      2. (use arrow keys to move from field to field, use spacebar to change)

BAUD RATE = 9600

DATA/BITS = 8/1

PARITY = NONE

RcvHandshake = xon/xoff

XmtHandshake = xon/xoff

PCHandshake = off

Aux Baud Rate = 9600

Aux Data/Stop Bits = 8/1

Aux Parity = none

AuxRcv Hndshk = xon/xoff

Aux XmtHandshk = xon/xoff

 

      1. Hit (F10) key to change to Setup Screen.
      1. (arrow over) to Save All hit (F10) again to save and quit
